On our Instagram page, we recently posted this vintage "Born to Ride" Honda Scooters T-Shirt ft/ an illustration of an excited guy riding a Honda Elite because we thought it was a rad blast from the past piece. Quickly, it was brought to our attention that the "excited guy" was actually Larry "Bud" Melman, a comic figure from David Letterman's late-night shows. In July 1989, American Honda released a promotional ad campaign for their scooter line featuring Bud and gave away this shirt as swag at participating Honda Scooter dealers.
